Developers are looking forward to work with the recently announced Google VR daydream which includes both Hardware and Software and works well with Android N which will be released in fall 2016. Well developers have to wait little longer as making of next generation mobile that will support Virtual Reality is in process. Developers can examine supporting APIs and SDKs. If we talk about smart phones, they are to be equipped with low lag and high resolution to work better with Daydream and its accompanying headset and controller.

API that is a segment with Unity Game engine has given access to the Google VR SDK which is known for its powerful 3D graphics with strong mobile support. Because of Google VR, SDK developers will now be able to make a VR unity project from a scratch by changing 3D apps into VR and will be able to swap between in and out modes of VR. The SDK have a lot of added features such as rendering audio, video, corrections, movements of eyes, body etc.

Google VR NDK for Android Platform will be using C/C++ API to write basic codes. Developers knowing OpenGL can now make VR applications using Google VR SDK platform. The development teams focuses on correcting lens, audio, 3D graphics, etc.

Consumers won’t be able to try their hands on Daydream, until the next generation phones or Android N enabled phones don’t come out. Developers even can’t see the fruit of their hard work as they also don’t have specific hardware and software that supports Daydream.

Developers and software engineers believes that VR industry will be dominated mobile VR and strong presence of Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard is making it look like it is true. It is also believed that this year market will hit $865 million and 87% of that market will be ruled by Mobile VR devices.
