Nvidia recently launched GTX 1060 which is also enjoying the tag of being the company’s least expensive 10 series GPU. You will be surprised to know that it matches the performance of their former flagship card GTX 980 only at 120 watts. Price $249 has been put for GTX 1060 on Amazon and Newegg. GTX 1060 is quite marvelous which is also bringing the power of the last generation’s GTX 980. That is what sweet technological smells like.

GTX 1060 card easily hits the bar for Virtual Ready which makes it ready to hold a steady 90 FPS in HTC Vive or Oculus Rift. Curiously, Nvidia doesn’t support SLI, which is defined as the ability to use two GPU in a row. It provides the maximum power efficiency and performance in its class. If you are talking about FPS then we did try GTX 1060 with some games like, Fallout 4 with two resolutions. First, we tested with 1920×1080 FXAA where FPS was at 105.9 and 66.1 when tested with2560x1440 FXAA. Second game we tested was Grand Theft Auto V with two resolutions. First, we tested with 1920×1080 FXAA where FPS was at 60.1and 41.7 when tested with2560x1440 FXAA. Third game we tested was Star Wars: Battlefront. First, we tested with 1920×1080 FXAA where FPS was at 103.1and 68.4 when tested with2560x1440 FXAA.

If we talk about his specifications, they are impressive too. Memory Bandwidth is at 192 GB per second. Die Size is 200 mm².  If you are looking for something more powerful then wait for GTX 1080 which was announced a few months ago, which will be configured on running 3 or more cards.
