Oculus Co-founder Will be Dearly Missed By Facebook

Palmer Luckey who is the co-founder of Oculus VR and also the famous designer of the Oculus Rift is now stepping down from his position at the company.  The company has also confirmed the news and told the media that, this week is his last week in the company. The company also said that he will be very dearly missed. His inventive spirit kick-started the modern virtual Reality revolution and as the result, it helped to build an Industry in the same realm. He initiated the Kickstarter campaign and it was a record breaking campaign with the US $ 2.4 million! Oculus Went on producing two major headset developer kits subbed as Oculus Rift DK1 and Rift DK2 with a vision that perspective developers could develop Virtual Reality games and experiences.

Oculus company then went out on a road in which it was acquired by Facebook in March 2014 for US$3 billion in an event that summarizes the launch of the first consumer-level Virtual Reality headset for the company in March 2016 named as ‘the Oculus Rift’. The repercussions of the same proved to be great for Luckey. Forbes Magazine estimated Luckey’s net worth to be exceeding US$700 million.

Well, there was a bitter time for Luckey as he was found the subject in a prominent lawsuit between ZeniMax and Facebook/Oculus that was centered on an alleged misappropriation of the intellectual property that is the Oculus Rift and ZeniMax. Let us see, the future of the great Luckey is still uncertain.
