The very First Virtual Reality Concert comes to Prospect Park

The Hubble Cantata a beautiful Virtual Reality film will let you fly high in the sky lit with bright stars in the Prospect Park on August 6th 2016. The exclusive feature film will be played along with live music comprising of a 30-piece ensemble and a 100-person choir as a part of the grand debut at the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn festival.

The Music choir shall comprise of Met Soprano Jessica Rivera and Baritone Nathan Gunn to perform composer Paola Prestini’s music with words given to it by Librettist Royce Vavrek. The visuals of the film have been directed by filmmaker Eliza McNitt which will be presented to the viewers counting to 6,000 attendees with Google Cardboard VR headsets which can be used with phones for an immersive experience of the Orion Nebula through the Hubble Telescope.

It is the first ever event of its kind which will showcase VR space experience combined with live music to be experienced for free by the viewers. The film will also be released in the form of an app compatible with Google Cardboard post the event for all those who wishes to survey the spellbound of far reached of the universe and its galactic beauty.  Take a sneak peek into what the whole film will look like with this short video.
