GirnarSoft the parent company of CarDekho.com, the popular online automobile classifieds have acquired a Virtual Reality Startup company named Volob Technologies as announced by the authorities on Tuesday.

GirnarSoft has been titled as one of the most active members of the Indian Startup M&A leader-board in the past 18 months with this being the eighth such transaction. Volob Technologies was founded back in 2010 by Tarun Kumar and Shweta Jain and provides 3D visualization solution and VR media content solutions to various industries among which Automobile industry is listed as the primary candidate.

The acquisition is expected and shall deliver 3D visualizations to the capabilities of CarDekho.com through the use of technologies like Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.

The official statement released by the authorities state as follows “Joining CarDekho.com will help us provide solutions which can enable automotive industry deliver life-like experiences to car buyers across multiple touch points,” said Volob Co-founder Kumar. It is also said that Volob Technologies holds automobile companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, and Godrej etc. in its list of clients.

The partnership is likely to bring new advancements not only to CarDekho.com but also to the overall E-commerce businesses in India and worldwide.
