Chernobyl Disaster is the biggest scar left the whole world after the infamous Nuclear Power Plant accident occurred on 26th April 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant then located in USSR (Russia). A team from a virtual reality game development studio has taken the initiative to develop a virtual tour into the ruins of the Chernobyl near the city of Pripyat.

The project is developed for viewers to explore freely the wiped out and abandoned city as well as the Chernobyl Nuclear power plant while a guide narrates and explains the history of the place and the incident in the background. The virtual tour to Chernobyl is almost like a virtual museum of the place.

The team filmed the entire place in a series of trips made to the area capturing thousands of pictures and 360 videos and 3D models and put in their best efforts to recreate the entire place just like they had seen it in real. The project is significantly aimed at preserving what is left of the place in a digital framework.
