As we all are aware that we live in strange world and HP’s recently launched Omen gaming line is becoming a far less unusual than it sounds. HP gaming line will be including a high-end PC soon, which is also your backpack.

An unnamed backpack is in progress which is a part of “Omen X” series. HP will be starting its demo units within a month. Specifications are kept similar to Virtual Reality desktop PCs i.e. they are equipped with new Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 32GB memory and also a graphics card. Whole of this is crammed into one as HP promises, weighs no more than 10 pounds.

HTC Vive, Oculus Rift or any other similar VR headset can be plugged into this machine and one can walk around without worrying about tripping over wires or being shackled to the desktop. During its course of testing, HP has added a lot of fascinating features to it which includes the swapping of old batteries with the new one to avoid shutting down during the change, wireless display, mouse, and keyboard so that one can use its ordinary functions without any change. HP is continuously making changes on design by surveying as more and more people try it which will give you some more features.

MSI and Zotac are the two major companies, which HP is following have not utter a single word about the price but HP wants this backpack to be really accessible but it will cost more than average VR-ready desktop which is currently running at $1000. Developers are working on how much rearranging and shrinking will be done to the hardware. It is limited by the headset’s tracking capability which restricts its traveling any farther than a tethered system.

This is definitely a revolutionary step which is taken by HP in favor of an avid gamer. It will be interesting to know about the gamer’ response with the given price.
