Developers actually need to be updated as on what kind of hardware, they will be targeting, so as to provide made-for-windows holographic experiences. Developers will soon be saying thanks to the development kit hardware that will be made available to them in March, 2017 by Windows which will start by making a debut in GDC, 2017 which will hold in San Francisco.

We cannot get you the details on the kits as they are not openly told by the company at the present moment. But all we can say that the Company is trying to know the developer’s interest through a survey form which focuses mainly to get the basic information from the developers who showed their interest in the Windows Holographic Dev Kit. The hardware for the same could be developed on the basis of Microsoft-created reference platform.
