Women Gaming Developers will lead Virtual Reality

Virtual reality is undoubtedly the next massive hit in technology be it in gaming, or apps or even other commercial business enterprises. With these significant developments in this escalating technology, women developers wish for a secure place to lead the growth in Virtual reality.

Helen Situ, virtual reality evangelist at NextVR spoke recently at the Game Developer’s conference about saying that Virtual reality is capable to induce extremely powerful emotional experiences which have the potential of shaping the world.

With such a strong statement, women surely have a long way to go in this industry. Earlier the technology industry held a poor record of hiring and retaining women for work in technical jobs. Also, the game developers especially faced completely different challenges in the form of violent video gaming culture and the sexist portrayal of women in games targeting a complete section of society.

The nascent technology holds a lot of promise to tie up reality with the gaming world depicting different walks of life and turning the mindsets.
