Introduced VR To Attract Best IT and Digital Talent

Every year more than 18000 recent graduates send applications to join the 14 Graduate Leadership Programmes at Lloyds Banking Group. They are interested in Digital and IT schemes as the assessment process will be getting interesting in the coming times! Lloyds Banking Group has recently introduced Virtual Reality technology in order to assess their graduates for the 2017 intake, which will be their first batch and it is happening for the first time in the banking industry!

The Group will be able to present the tough and unfeasible situations to the candidates so that they will be able to find most digitally-minded individuals by using VR assessor. The candidate will be given complete freedom of movement within an environment of 360 degree illusionistic world. They will be able to move the Virtual object through tracked motion controls. The Group cannot disclose the potential level that graduates is expected to show at the assessment centre. They didn’t disclose because they don’t want to give the advantage to the candidates.  They will be designing puzzles and will be tasked in order to know the strengths and capabilities which are required of the Group’s future leaders.

This is an innovative addition that is added to the graduate recruitment process in order to demonstrate the Group’s investment in future talent and also in the hiring of the digital leaders of the future. Chris Jackson who is the director of the Performance, Talent & Development says that, ‘Adopting VR in the assessment process will be able to demonstrate the Group’s dedication to digital transformation which is also a major part of the Helping Britain Prosper Plan. They are the first organisation to use this cutting-edge technology in order to assess the powers of potential future leaders of their organisation. They are also using Tracking motion technology in Virtual Reality in finding the suitable leader for their company! Let us see how far this new budding technology goes!
